At E-Type UK, bespoke builds begin not with a rulebook, but with a conversation. These are client-led commissions shaped around how an E-Type is intended to look, drive and be used — free from strict adherence to factory specification, yet grounded in deep mechanical understanding and respect for the car’s original character.
Every bespoke build starts with a clear brief. Some clients come to us with a fully formed vision; others arrive knowing only how they want the car to feel. Our role is to translate that intent into a coherent, beautifully resolved E-Type — balancing aesthetics, engineering and usability so that each decision serves the whole, rather than standing alone.
Bespoke builds at E-Type UK span a wide spectrum. They may be visually led, exploring stance, proportion and presence. They may be mechanically driven, centred around engine architecture, drivability or long-distance reliability. Others are purpose-led, shaped by how the car will be driven and the experience the owner wants behind the wheel. What unites them is intent: nothing is added by accident, and nothing remains by default.
Unlike restoration, bespoke work is not about returning a car to a known point in time. It is about defining where it should sit today. Our experience across hundreds of E-Types allows us to understand where deviation enhances the car — and where it quietly undermines it. That judgement is what prevents bespoke from becoming novelty, and what ensures each build remains mechanically honest, cohesive and deeply usable.
Some bespoke commissions remain singular, one-off expressions tailored precisely to their owner. Others evolve further, naturally progressing into our most comprehensive work. In every case, the process is the same: clarity of intent first, engineering discipline throughout, and a finished car that feels inevitable rather than experimental.
