Original Look, Engineered Beneath
6.1L V12 FAST-ROAD SPEC
This project was developed as an engineering-led fast-road V12 E-Type, shaped by how the car is driven today rather than by period convention alone.
From the outset, the brief was clear: retain the original visual identity of the Series 3, but transform its mechanical character beneath the surface. Effortless torque. Thermal stability in modern traffic. Braking and chassis confidence to match the power. Every decision flowed from that intent.
OUR APPROACH
Rather than chasing headline horsepower, this 6.1-litre V12 was developed to deliver torque density, smoothness and long-distance reliability.
Increasing engine capacity improves mid-range torque, the usable pulling force that defines real-world drivability. The car now accelerates cleanly from low and mid-range revs without constant downshifting, remaining mechanically relaxed at cruising speeds.
A lightened and balanced flywheel reduces rotational inertia (the resistance of a rotating mass to changes in speed), allowing the engine to respond more freely while maintaining the inherent smoothness expected of a Jaguar V12. This is capacity engineered with restraint, not for stress, but for usable performance.
A SYSTEM, NOT A SINGLE UPGRADE
Power without control was never the objective. This specification was developed as a complete mechanical system.
- Larger aluminium front brake calipers
- Vented and grooved brake discs
- Adjustable sports suspension
- Sports torsion bars and anti-roll bars
- Sports power steering rack
Our E-Type UK performance calipers distribute braking load more evenly across the pads, improving feel and reducing fade under repeated use. Vented discs dissipate heat more efficiently, maintaining braking consistency. Adjustable suspension allows the chassis to be tuned for real-world road conditions. Uprated torsion and anti-roll bars reduce body roll and sharpen turn-in, while the revised steering rack improves precision and feedback.
The car now feels planted, composed and confidence-inspiring, without compromising ride quality.
BREATHING, FLOW & LONGEVITY
To complement the enlarged capacity:
- Stainless steel & ceramic-coated sports exhaust, with 12-branch manifolds
- Integrated oil catch tank system
A 12-branch manifold improves exhaust scavenging (the efficient evacuation of spent gases), supporting cleaner combustion and improved throttle response. Ceramic coating reduces under-bonnet temperatures and protects against corrosion. The oil catch tank system prevents crankcase vapours from re-entering the intake, maintaining cleaner internal operation over extended use.
Each component was specified to work in harmony, managing heat, flow and mechanical load as a unified system.
ENGINEERING CONTINUITY
This build does not seek to visually reinvent the V12 E-Type. It respects its original character. What it does is apply structured engineering logic, combining increased displacement, improved thermal control, modern braking architecture and refined chassis tuning, to create a cohesive, reliable road car.
The appearance remains fundamentally correct. The capability beneath is thoroughly evolved.
THE RESULT
The finished car reflects a clear engineering philosophy: torque delivered intelligently, airflow managed properly, heat controlled effectively, and chassis systems developed together. The outcome is a V12 E-Type that feels effortless rather than aggressive — stronger through the mid-range, more stable under braking, and mechanically composed over long distances.
It looks original. It drives entirely redefined.
For owners seeking enhanced performance and reliability without visual compromise, this 6.1L V12 fast-road specification demonstrates what is possible when the engineering is approached as a complete system rather than a collection of individual upgrades.
