The Bespoke Commission
Every bespoke build begins with a conversation, not a specification.
A Bespoke Commission at E-Type UK is a collaborative process, shaped by intent, experience and mutual understanding. Rather than offering a menu of predefined options, we work with each client to define what matters most — how the car should feel, how it will be used, and what success looks like in real terms.
The commission process starts with careful listening. We take time to understand the client’s driving preferences, technical priorities and aesthetic sensibilities, alongside the realities of the base car itself. From there, we define a clear direction, balancing originality, performance, reliability and character in a way that is appropriate to the brief.
Each commission is developed methodically. Mechanical systems, structure, ergonomics and visual detail are considered together, ensuring that the final car feels cohesive rather than assembled. Where changes are proposed, they are justified — not because they are possible, but because they serve the purpose of the build.
Bespoke Commissions sit between full restoration and Unleashed. They are more individual than restoration, more restrained than Unleashed, and guided throughout by judgement rather than fashion. As a result, no two commissions are the same, and none are rushed or forced.
We accept a limited number of bespoke commissions at any one time. This allows us to maintain the level of care, attention and integrity that these projects demand.
If you are considering a Bespoke Commission, the first step is simply a conversation.
