Your E-Type. Our Expertise. Wherever You Are.
Your E-Type might be thousands of miles from our Kent workshop. The ambitions you have for it will probably sound familiar.
More confidence in traffic. Greater comfort on longer journeys. A more relaxed cruising experience. Or a car that finally brings together the appearance, performance and finish you have always imagined.
For our international clients, those ambitions provide the starting point for a bespoke programme. You bring the vision; we help establish the work needed to realise it.
Begin with how you want to drive
A rewarding programme starts with a conversation about ownership.
Where do you drive? What do you enjoy about the car? What makes you hesitate before taking it out?
An E-Type used in Singapore traffic faces a different routine from one reserved for open-road touring in the United States. Climate, journey length and personal expectations all influence the brief.
You may already know which upgrades interest you. You may simply know that the car feels tiring, uncomfortable or less reassuring than you would like. Either gives us somewhere useful to begin.
Individual improvements, considered together
An overseas Series 1 project illustrates how those conversations develop.
The programme brought together electronic fuel injection, a five-speed manual conversion, cooling improvements, air conditioning, and work to the brakes and suspension. Each addressed a particular requirement, while contributing to the owner’s wider ambition for the car.
That relationship matters. A more relaxed cruising ratio offers greater value when the cabin is comfortable enough to enjoy the journey. Improved performance needs to sit alongside appropriate braking, road manners and sound underlying mechanical condition.
Our role is to consider those connections and recommend a coherent programme for the individual E-Type.
Planning a project from overseas
The first discussion can take place while the car is still with you.
Photographs, maintenance records, details of previous modifications and a description of your priorities help us understand the starting point. We can then discuss the likely direction of the work and the practical arrangements for bringing the car to our workshop.
Transport, documentation and the intended return destination need to be considered early. Once the E-Type arrives, physical assessment allows us to check the proposed programme against its actual condition.
That assessment is important. Previous repairs or underlying wear may influence what should be addressed first. Establishing those findings gives both owner and workshop a clearer basis for agreeing the scope.
Keeping you involved
Distance makes clear communication especially valuable.
Agreeing priorities at the outset helps guide decisions as the project develops. Progress updates and photographs give those discussions context, particularly where dismantling reveals something that could not be assessed beforehand.
Any additional recommendations need to be explained in relation to the car and the agreed objective. For an owner overseas, understanding why a decision matters is just as important as seeing the work progress.
An E-Type that fits your life
Your programme may involve a focused selection of upgrades or a more extensive transformation. Its success should be measured by what it allows you to enjoy afterwards.
The longer journey you feel ready to plan. The traffic you approach with greater confidence. The car you choose to use more often.
You do not need a finished technical specification to begin. Tell us where you are, which E-Type you own and what you would like from it.
You send us your E-Type. We help bring your vision to life.
