Full Throttle Nostalgia | Goodwood Revival 2025

Every September, West Sussex transforms into a time capsule as Goodwood Revival roars to life. Across three days of racing, parades and period glamour, the Revival isn’t just an event — it’s an experience. For Jaguar E-Type enthusiasts, it’s also one of the best weekends of the year.

Friday sets the stage with qualifying sessions as historic grids thunder into action, building anticipation for the weekend’s racing drama. It’s often the first chance to see the E-Types in motion, warming up alongside Cobras, Ferraris and Astons in a spectacle that feels straight out of the 1960s.

Saturday is all about the racing. The RAC TT Celebration remains a highlight — a fiercely contested, closed-cockpit GT race where Lightweight E-Types often line up shoulder-to-shoulder with AC Cobras and Ferrari 250 GTs. For many, this single race is the purest demonstration of the E-Type’s enduring motorsport pedigree.

Sunday brings the crescendo, with a packed programme of wheel-to-wheel battles and off-track festivities. The St. Mary’s Trophy, featuring touring cars of the 1950s and ’60s, steals the spotlight, but it’s the sight of E-Types scattered across the paddocks and concours lawns that reminds us why the model remains so beloved.

Between races, Revival’s unique atmosphere takes over — tweed jackets, tea dances, live music, and period-perfect style at every turn. Much like slipping behind the wheel of an E-Type, stepping into Revival is about living history, not just observing it.

For E-Type fans, the weekend is more than just nostalgia. It’s proof that these cars are not museum pieces, but living, breathing icons. From trackside duels to late-afternoon drives through the Sussex countryside, the Jaguar E-Type continues to define the glamour, freedom and thrill that Revival celebrates.
