London Classic Car Show 2017 // Our Experience
After an exciting (and tiring) 4 days at the London Classic Car Show 2017 we are ready to get back into full swing and continue the work so many of you gave us praise for.
Due to only collecting our Gunmetal Grey FHC from the trim shop on Tuesday 21st, we were unsurprisingly busy preparing this, and two other Series 1 E-Types for the show on the 23rd . We are now waiting for the weather to reflect Springtime before we can carry out the 500-mile shakedown on the newly-restored FHC. There will be a video for all of you who wanted to hear the 3.8 Litre Fast-Road Engine fire into life!
Our freshly painted Opalescent Maroon Series 1 OTS bodyshell certainly grabbed the attention of passers-by with its beautiful colour and pristine paintwork. To make sure it stays this way for decades to come, we used washed-in sealer and lacquered the inside.
It was another great turn out for the E-Type this year, with both Classic Motor Cars and Historics At Brooklands hoping to fetch more than £100k for their “barn-find” Series 1 cars. As well as these, there was an abundance of restored and subtly modified E-Types.
We always enjoy talking to customers and E-Type admirers alike face-to-face, especially at shows like these where we can display our E-Types properly, to give a real understanding of the quality of work we carry out.
So thank you to all who stopped by, and we hope to see you all again in the future!
