Tehcno Classica Essen Car Show 2017
E-Type recently attended the largest classic car fair in the world with over 185,000 international visitors. Techno Classica Essen is a global classic vehicle fair which takes place in Essen, Germany every year. The event sees around 1,250 exhibitors attend from all over the world with nearly 3,000 classic cars for sale at the motor show. The Essen Classic Motor Show has become a meeting place for anyone that is involved in the classic vehicle community. With a large number of vehicles for sale, it also makes Techno Classica Essen the most significant global trading place for classic vehicles.
What kind of cars are at Techno Classica Essen?
You will find a lot of classic vehicles at the fair with a large number available for sale. There’s everything from vintage vehicles, collector’s cars and young classics too. There is a wide variety of cars available from different manufacturers including the Jaguar E-Type, but it really is one of the most diverse classic motor fairs. There are classic cars on show from some of the biggest manufacturers such as Porsche, VW, Ferrari and BMW. But it is not a fair exclusive to cars either; there is a range of other classic vehicles such as motorbikes and other commercial vehicles too.
What to expect from the fair?
The Essen Classic Car show offers something for everyone, with classic cars for sale as well as displays of classic vehicles. There are exhibitions from some of the largest manufacturers including Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz and BMW, displaying classic vehicles that are otherwise usually kept under lock and key. Techno Classica Essen is also a platform for manufacturers to announce their news to a wide audience with an avid interest in motoring.
There is also a range of special shows at Essen Classic Motor Show that exhibit some rare cars and vehicles that haven’t been on display before. One of the special exhibitions at this year’s show included ‘The History of Electromobility’. This presented an interesting sight into the past of automobile technology, including two electric cars from 1881 and 1915, as well as a steam driven car from 1910. The special exhibition programme also included 7 winning Formula 1 cars from the Grand Prix Monte Carlo races during 1952-1960. This included cars that have not been displayed in public before and proved extremely popular.
