Coffee, Cakes & Classic Cars | March Meet
Coffee, Cakes & Classic Cars host its first glorious weekend event Saturday 14th March, at our joint workshop in Hadlow, Kent. Despite the weather, over 200 proud owners, enthusiasts and collectors gathered at the North Frith Farm facility to celebrate their passion for all things automotive.
While offering an ideal setting for like-minded petrolheads to meet, this edition of Coffee, Cakes & Classic Cars was taking place in support of the MS Society UK. Across the course of the event over £120 was raised and donated to the Kent branch of the MS Society charity. Showing our support, E-Type UK and DM Historics proudly matched the total raised, bringing the final donation total of over £200.
The E-Type UK team took the opportunity to showcase our latest ‘Ultimate Specification Series 3’ E-Type to the gathered crowds, starting up the fully rebuilt and rebored 6.1-litre V12 engine. Fitted with bespoke set-up individual throttle body fuel injection, the upgraded engine unlocks levels of performance hitherto unseen in a Series 3 E-type. The Ultimate Specification also brings air conditioning, modern cooling, sports suspension and upgraded brakes.
DM Historics – geared towards the sales and support of historic racing cars – showed off its latest paddock of motorsport heroes. The line-up included a Goodwood-regular Jaguar Mk1, an FIA Morgan Plus 4 Super Sport Low Line previously raced at Le Mans Classic and, the latest addition, a Goodwood eligible 1957 Hillman Minx.
The businesses also showcased a stunning selection of stock currently for sale. A wonderful 1980 Porsche 911 SC, finished to echo the RS models, sat proudly alongside a fully restored 1963 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 3.8, greeting guests as they arrived at the workshops. Out front, a wonderful array of E-Types and other classics were on display, later joined by a plethora of visiting motorcars, including Hot Rods and a host of Jaguar rarities, including XK120s and a 600hp XE SV PROJECT 8.
Founder Marcus Holland commented:
“It was an honour to once again welcome hundreds of automotive enthusiasts to our state-of-the-art workshops at North Frith Farm, Kent. Beginning the year by showcasing latest projects and stock from both businesses, surrounded by likeminded petrolheads and raising money for a local charity, was a privilege. Join us at future Coffee, Cakes and Classic Cars event to experience pure automotive passion in the Kent countryside, with dates to be announced soon.”
