The original E-Type suspension was designed for the roads, tyres and driving conditions of its time. Even when restored to factory specification, many cars can feel soft, unsettled or less precise than expected on modern roads — particularly during fast road driving or longer journeys.
At E-Type UK, we believe you shouldn’t have to choose between originality and enjoyment. Our Jaguar E-Type suspension upgrades are designed to improve ride quality, handling and control, while preserving the balance, character and visual integrity of the original car.

The benefits of an upgraded suspension system are felt immediately. Steering response sharpens, body control improves, and the car feels more settled through corners, under braking and during acceleration.
Road imperfections are absorbed more effectively, resulting in a smoother, more composed ride without introducing harshness. Whether driving in traffic, enjoying fast road use or touring longer distances, the car feels more predictable, more stable and more confidence-inspiring.
Rather than changing the personality of the car, the suspension allows the E-Type to perform as many owners always felt it should.
ENGINEERED FOR THE E-TYPE
Our suspension upgrade package has been developed and refined through extensive testing — including on our own E-Type UK demonstrator — to achieve the correct balance between comfort, control and authenticity.
The package includes uprated torsion bars and anti-roll bars to improve roll control and handling, combined with on-car adjustable front and rear shock absorbers to allow precise control of suspension movement. These are complemented by upgraded suspension bushes to improve response and consistency throughout the system.
The result is improved road-holding and stability, while maintaining a compliant, well-damped ride.

When you collect your E-Type, we offer the opportunity for a test drive so you can experience the improvement first-hand. Suspension settings can be fine-tuned to suit your preferences before the car leaves the workshop, giving complete confidence in how it drives.
