At E-Type UK, we view air conditioning as a usability and comfort upgrade, not a cosmetic addition or an attempt to modernise the character of the car.
DRIVING EXPERIENCE
A properly integrated air conditioning system transforms how usable an E-Type feels in real-world conditions.
Cabin temperatures become far more manageable during summer driving, touring becomes less tiring, and demisting performance improves significantly in poor weather.
The goal is not to remove the classic atmosphere of the interior, but to make the car more comfortable and confidence-inspiring to use regularly.
ENGINEERING
Our bespoke air conditioning systems are designed specifically around the E-Type platform and installed with care and restraint.
Where appropriate, the system replaces the original heater arrangement while continuing to utilise the factory ducting and vent locations, allowing discreet and effective airflow without visually overpowering the interior.
For owners driving in particularly demanding climates or extended touring conditions, we can also offer higher-output centre-console evaporator configurations that deliver greater cooling performance directly into the cabin.
Cooling capacity, engine load, condenser positioning and supporting systems are all carefully considered to ensure reliability and balanced performance.
OUR APPROACH
As with all E-Type UK upgrades, air conditioning is considered in context.
Rather than treating the system as an isolated add-on, we assess how it integrates with the wider car, including cooling performance, charging system capacity, engine specification and any future upgrades planned, such as fuel injection or touring-focused modifications.
The aim is always to improve usability without introducing compromise elsewhere.
