THE BRIEF

The objective of this restoration was never to create a heavily modified E-Type.

Our client wanted to retain the elegance, driving character and originality that made the car so special, ensuring the finished restoration remained unmistakably Jaguar.

However, originality was not to come at the expense of enjoyment.

Throughout the planning process we discussed how the car would actually be used. Rather than becoming a concours exhibit or occasional Sunday car, it was intended to be driven regularly, toured extensively and enjoyed with confidence on today's roads.

Whilst preserving the character of the E-Type remained paramount, the client recognised that braking performance was one area where discreet engineering could significantly enhance the ownership experience without compromising authenticity.

PROGRAMME SPECIFICATION

Rather than replacing worn components with standard parts, this programme integrated carefully engineered braking improvements designed to complement the restored vehicle whilst preserving its original character.
