Cooling Upgrades
Performance Cooling, Without Compromise
Overheating is one of the most common concerns E-Type owners raise — not because the car is being driven hard, but because modern traffic, higher ambient temperatures and longer journeys place very different demands on a cooling system designed in the 1960s.
At E-Type UK, we approach cooling upgrades with restraint and understanding rather than assumptions. While aluminium radiators and high-output fans are often presented as a universal solution, effective cooling is never about a single component. It is about how the system works as a whole — and how the car is actually used.
Through decades of hands-on experience, we’ve identified the areas where the original E-Type cooling system is most often compromised, and where carefully judged improvements can deliver meaningful gains without introducing new stresses elsewhere. Our cooling upgrades are designed to improve stability, consistency and confidence, particularly in slow-moving traffic, warmer climates and extended use.
Rather than offering off-the-shelf parts, we supply integrated cooling packages developed and tested by E-Type UK. These may include uprated radiators, fans and header tanks, combined with the correct wiring, hose configuration and thermostat control to ensure the system functions as intended. Where relevant, particular care is taken when cooling is being asked to support additional demands such as fuel injection or air conditioning.
The result is not an E-Type that runs “cold”, but one that runs properly — maintaining temperature without strain, drama or compromise.
Cooling upgrades are offered exclusively as a fitted option by E-Type UK, allowing us to take full responsibility for system performance and long-term reliability.
If you’d like to discuss whether a cooling upgrade would benefit your E-Type — or how it should be considered alongside other work — we’re always happy to talk it through.
