THE BRIEF
The owner wanted to enjoy the car as often as possible, particularly on longer road trips and touring holidays, but found the original Series 2 specification discouraged regular use.
Whilst the E-Type retained all the charm that made it special, motorway cruising, modern traffic and longer distances highlighted compromises that gradually reduced confidence behind the wheel.
Longer journeys became tiring, higher cruising engine speeds increased cabin noise, and concerns over cooling performance in heavy traffic meant the car wasn't always the obvious choice for extended trips.
The brief was simple: create an E-Type that remained unmistakably original in character, whilst feeling significantly more relaxed, confidence-inspiring and enjoyable to drive on today's roads.
PROGRAMME SPECIFICATION
Rather than fitting individual upgrades in isolation, we developed an integrated programme where every modification complemented the next.

THE RESULT

Rather than changing the character of the E-Type, the programme removed many of the compromises that had previously limited how often it was driven.
